June 13 Tours Cancelled
June 13 tours have been cancelled, possibly more to follow. As the sole tour guide for Golden History Tours, if I get ill, I can’t reasonably provide a safe Wild West tour, and that’s just what’s happened. Test results are not in yet, so I’m not sure of the severity and how long we’ll be out. Check our reservations page for up-to-date listings.

Wild West Walking Tours Returning in June!
Wild West Walking Tours are opening in June with limited capacity and new swag in the form of stylish bandanas! Reserve a spot today before they’re all filled up!

Suspending Tours
While we'd love to be out walking the town and telling stories of the Wild West, for the safety of our participants, townspeople, and tour guides, we're suspending tours through the end of April.

Tour Status & Spring Specials
Golden History Tours will continue to operate in limited capacity until we are no longer able to do so. We’ll have smaller tours and avoid touring through crowded buildings until things clear up. We’re also offering a 20% discount through the end of April on all tours.

Valentine’s Day Experience In Golden
Come on out to Golden for a unique post-Valentine’s Day experience. You’ll create your own candle with the fine folks at Mountain Lux Candles, then, while your unique candle is setting we’ll take a tour through Golden to tell stories of Golden’s past and the Wild West with stops at three breweries along the way.

Mini-tours will begin on the half-hour starting at the Golden Visitor’s Center.

Announcement- January 5, 2023
Golden, Colorado - More Than Just Coors
You can’t mention Golden, Colorado without bringing to mind that glistening silver can with the blue mountains. The Coors Light Silver Bullet has become synonymous with Golden, but long before it arrived the Coors Brewery was positioning itself to be an integral part of Golden since Adolph Coors and Jacob Scheuler opened the Scheuler and Coors Golden Brewery in 1873. This year marks the 150th anniversary of Coors, and over that time they established themselves as a vital part of Golden’s infrastructure and a pivotal player in the community. There were times when the brewery was what held the town together, and times when it nearly brought the town to its knees. Today, it is the single largest brewing installation on the planet and tours of the facility draw hundreds of thousands of people to our historic psuedo-mountain town. (We’re only 15 minutes from Denver and nestled at the base of the foothills.)
Take a Wild West Pub Crawl
Whether you made it for the Coors Tour or not, allow us to introduce you to some of Golden’s best microbrews while your charismatic cowboy tour guide regales you with outrageous stories from the Wild West. And yes, stories about Coors and his brewery as well (including some they don’t tell you on the Coors Tour! Shhhh!).
The Wild West Pub Crawls run three hours and we buy you a beverage at all three stops. We think it’s a really fun way to hear some amazing stories, learn a little history, and of course, enjoy some delicious beers and camaraderie. Now, if that all sounds like too much, we do have 1- and 2-hour Wild West Walking Tours as well, both including some Coors stories.
So, hopefully you planned ahead and get to experience the Coors Brewery from the inside, but if not (or even if you did!), come be Coors-adjacent with us and experience the rich history and community of Golden, Colorado with some fun storytelling!
